Strategic Planning and Quality Processes Information Meeting

Within the scope of the work carried out to build a strong strategy that will carry TOBB ETÜ into the future, the strategic plan opening meeting was held on 8 December 2022. The meeting, which began with a speech by Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Sarınay, was attended by Vice Rector and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Dr. Murat Alanyalı, Secretary General Dr. Gökhan Göksu, deans, directors of graduate schools, heads of department and the staff of the Corporate Strategy Office. Stating that TOBB ETÜ gives priority to its institutional accreditation and strategic plan activities, Prof. Dr. Sarınay underlined that the contribution of academics to the work carried out in this scope is extremely valuable.

In the presentation by Prof. Dr. Berna Tarı Kasnakoğlu, faculty member of the Department of Business Administration, the participants were informed about the strategic planning process, while Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Taylan Özkan, faculty member of the Faculty of Medicine, gave a presentation on the quality management process. After the presentations, a short game and a survey were held with the participants, followed by group work. The groups working on different topics presented their work and shared their recommendations at the end of the meeting.

The work carried out by the Corporate Strategy Office under the coordination of Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Taylan Özkan and Prof. Dr. Berna Tarı Kasnakoğlu will continue with focus group meetings on the five headings set. The groups, open to academics, administrative staff and students who wish to contribute, will work on analyses, evaluations and recommendations that will take TOBB ETÜ further in the areas of leadership and management, internationalization, education and training, research and development, and social contribution.

When the work is completed, it is planned to produce a comprehensive strategic plan setting out TOBB ETÜ's five-year goals.
