IEEE Journal of Microelectromechanical Systems (IEEE JMEMS), which is the leading journal in the field of MEMS around the world, highlights the journal paper authored by Prof. Mehmet Ünlü and his PhD student Kazım Demir (https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9094643) in its latest issue. The paper discusses the latest progress of the miniature MEMS-based reconfigurability solutions for the terahertz band, which is known to be the next generation of communication and imaging technologies beyond 5G frequencies. The paper also discusses the latest progress of the integrated circuit and optoelectronics-based reconfigurability solutions for the terahertz band. The JMEMS also provides free access to the paper for a limited amount of time.

This is the second highlighted paper from the TeraNano Research Group (teramems.etu.edu.tr), led by the principle investigator Prof. Mehmet Ünlü, in the last three years, after the group’s publication in the Electronics Letters in 2017 (https://digital-library.theiet.org/content/journals/10.1049/el.2017.2360).
