Yusuf Önür, Kaan Okbilek and Sezin Güler, senior undergraduate students of TOBB ETÜ Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, have completed a fruitful cooperative education semester at Arçelik Inc. in Eskişehir.

Carrying out a lighting project for conveying the temperature information of the refrigerator to the user, our students were entitled to file patents jointly with Arçelik. Yusuf Önür and Kaan Okbilek made us proud also with the project which collects data from the refrigerators using wired and wireless technologies. Furthermore, Yusuf Önür devised a way to reduce the data collection cost 12 times while Sezin Güler with another intern, Hakan Uz, has developed a system which allows the refrigerator software to be more easily loaded to control cards.

We congratulate our students for their their efficient semester at Arçelik and wish them a continued success in their professional lives. We would also like to thank Arçelik Inc. for contributing to TOBB ETÜ’s Cooperative Education Program as a contracted company and providing this opportunity to our students.
