Thesis writing and originality report |
The thesis shall be prepared in accordance with the Thesis Writing Guidelines and submitted to the Graduate School through the thesis advisor together with the Originality Report
|

|
Thesis Committee |
The thesis examination committee shall consist of at least three members (or five members), including the thesis advisor, one faculty member from a department within the University, and one faculty member from another higher education institution. The Thesis Examination Committee Appointment Form shall be submitted by the Chair of the Department to the Institute Administrative Board. |

|
Thesis Examination (Defense) |
The thesis examination shall be held no later than one month after the thesis has been submitted to the examination committee. The Chair of the Department shall notify the relevant Institute of the committee's decision by submitting the official examination report within three days following the thesis examination. |

|
Graduation Information Form |
The Graduation Information Form shall be completed by the Chair of the Department. After the student's transcript has been reviewed by the Department Secretary, verified by marking the completed requirements with a colored pen, initialed, and attached to the form, the complete documentation shall be submitted to the Institute. |

*In addition to the requirements specified herein, the relevant Department may impose additional requirements.
** Details regarding time limits may be found in the Master's Academic Calendar.
*** Students must register for at least one course (credit-bearing or non-credit-bearing) each semester until they have completed the required number of credits. A maximum of 12 credits may be taken in a single semester. Up to two courses may be selected from 400-level undergraduate courses, provided that they were not taken during the student's undergraduate studies. Upon the recommendation of the Department Chair and the approval of the Institute Administrative Board, students may also take up to two courses offered by other higher education institutions.
**** Students who have successfully completed all credit-bearing courses and the seminar course but are unable to take the thesis examination because they have not completed their thesis within six semesters (two years) may be granted an additional period of up to three semesters (one year).

Students shall register for this course each semester after completing their coursework until they pass the qualifying examination. Students who register for the course but do not take the examination shall be deemed unsuccessful. Scholarship recipients who fail the examination twice shall lose their scholarship. |

Thesis Monitorin Committee (TİK) |
TİK: The committee shall consist of at least three (or five) members, including the thesis advisor, one faculty member from a department within the University, and one faculty member from another higher education institution. |
The TİK Appointment Form must be submitted to the Institute within one month of the qualifying examination decision. |

0thTİK (Thesis Advisor and Thesis Topic Proposal) |
The student shall orally defend the proposed thesis topic before the Thesis Monitoring Committee. A written report shall be distributed to the committee members at least 15 days prior to the defense. |
The 0th Thesis Monitoring Committee Meeting must be held within six months of the qualifying examination decision. The Thesis Advisor and Thesis Topic Proposal Form, the Doctoral TİK Minutes, and the TİK Report must be submitted to the Institute within three days following the 0th Thesis Monitoring Committee Meeting. |
