The results of the event “İliş|ik - İliş|ki: 2 Gün, 2 Seminer, 2 Çalıştay” [Attach|ed - Connect|ion: 2 Days, 2 Seminars, 2 Workshops] we held on 15-16 June, 2016 with 3rd year students of the Interior Design and Environment Design Department within the framework of IKSV’s 3rd Istanbul Design Biennale were exhibited at ITU Taşkışla campus between 22 October and 20 November, 2016. Our students got the chance to successfully represent themselves and our institution on this international platform.

Their work will be on display at Technology Center, Ground Floor Foyer, between 6th and 16th of February, 2017.

HOW DOES MAN GET ATTACHED TO THE SPACE FOR 200,000 YEARS?

From the first man who managed to provide the surroundings with a definition, to the modern man, furniture had certainly been the bearer of various formal codes as a means of ‘attachment to the space’ or ‘connection with the space’, even though the form of attachment had always been the same.

In this context, 16 studies focusing on the forms of attachment to the space, by 21 of our students (Merve ERCAN, Murat ÖZ, İlke GÜNALTAN, Beyza GÖÇER, Hazal KARAKAYA, Fatima KAYRAK, Teoman Barış GÜL, Murat Can ÇETİN, Gizem GÜRSOY, Ayşenur KOÇAK, Aşkım Mine BABAOĞLU, H. Büşra KİRİŞÇİ, Bahar DİNGİL, Kübra YILMAZ, Elif BİLGİN, Hidayet YILDIRIM, Hazal Zeynep ŞAHİN, İpek AKSEL, Berfin Başak TAZE, Gökçe ÜNLÜ, Semaye EFE) had, within the framework of the Biennale’s Academy Program carried out in Istanbul between 22.10.2016 and 20.11.2016, represented the students as well as the university successfully on this international platform.
