- Exploration of Interaction Areas in Architectural Education
Considering the necessity for architectural education to create a flexible learning environment, as well as the constantly changing needs and objectives of the professional and research fields of architecture, the “Exploration of Interaction Areas in Architectural Education” project was initiated in September 2016 with the support of the European Commission under the ERASMUS+ Strategic Partnerships in Higher Education Program and completed in August 2019. The project focused on the threshold areas between architectural education and professional practice.
The project examined graduation/diploma studios and internship periods embedded within educational programs, which it defined as areas of interaction, threshold, transition, and intersection between architectural education at universities and professional practice. It proposed new pathways for these areas and explored opportunities for innovative implementations.
