What is Hour of Code?

Hour of Code is a global movement reaching out to tens of millions of students in more than 180 countries. Organized on the site Code.org , the event seeks to teach more about the contributions of computer science to our lives, in a public and non-profit event, by teaching it at a higher number of schools, and while doing so, increasing the participation of the students. Hour of Code equips the children with the skills to look at the problems from different perspectives with a view to coding and developing algorithms, and thus solve the problem in the shortest time frame possible. One of the greatest advantages of the event, lies in the fact that it is applied through a number of games to draw the children’s attention. The event takes approximately one hour.
