Nur Asena Caner, one of our faculty members at the Department of Economics, served as the chair and moderator of the panel in which Daron Acemoğlu from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was the guest speaker at the 30th Annual Conference of the Economic Research Forum (ERF) held in Rabat, Morocco. The panel, in which University of Minnesota faculty member Ragui Assaad, University Paris-Dauphine faculty member Najjat El Mekkaoui, and Virginia Tech University faculty member Djavad Salehi-Isfahani also participated as discussants, discussed current developments in the field of artificial intelligence and their possible effects on the labor market.
