This field aims to incorporate women into historiography both as individuals and as a social category, and comparatively examines women’s contributions to politics, society, the economy, and culture across different regions throughout history.
Modern Middle-east
This field examines the history of nation-states that emerged in the region after World War I, their relations with one another and with Western countries, and the political, social, and economic transformations they experienced. It addresses topics such as Zionism, imperialism, nationalism, pan-Arabism, secularism, and political Islam, as well as the policies shaped by these ideologies and the events they generated.
