Bengü Nur Özdemir
TOBB ETÜ Business Administration, 2016
Assistant Professor, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
The education I received at TOBB ETÜ Department of Business Administration guided me at every stage of my career journey. In particular, thanks to the Cooperative Education Program, I had the opportunity to complete internships in different sectors and discover what I wanted, and did not want, in my career while I was still a student. The close relationships we built with our professors allowed us to benefit from their knowledge and experience at the highest level, and I must say that such close relationships are not possible at many universities. I also completed my master’s degree at TOBB ETÜ in 2018, and while working as a research assistant, I learned the essentials of an academic career in this environment. The high standards of our university’s foreign language education provided me with a major advantage when I started my Ph.D. at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. I completed my Ph.D. in operations and supply chain management in 2024 and began working as an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the United States in the same year. I am grateful to TOBB ETÜ for being an educational institution that provided me with the skills and qualifications I need in my professional life.
Mustafa Aksoy
TOBB ETÜ Business Administration, 2018
Paid Media Senior Executive, Estée Lauder
Hello, I am Mustafa Aksoy, a 2018 graduate of TOBB ETÜ Department of Business Administration. Immediately after graduation, I started working as an Account Executive at Publicis Groupe, where I had completed my first internship. After working there for two years, I worked at WPP as a Performance Marketing Executive and then as a Performance Marketing Senior Executive. Since 2022, I have been working as a Paid Media Senior Executive at Estée Lauder Companies. TOBB ETÜ is a university that offers a strong foundation both theoretically and practically. In the Department of Business Administration, you have the opportunity to put the theoretical knowledge you acquire into practice through TOBB ETÜ’s Cooperative Education Program, which is the first and only one of its kind in Türkiye. With this program, graduating with one year of work experience prepares you for professional life in advance. Thanks to the Cooperative Education Program, I also had the opportunity to complete one of my internships in London. This allowed me to experience a company in a different country and organizational structure. I adapted to business life very easily thanks to what TOBB ETÜ contributed to me, and I am grateful to my university for this.
İrfan Demirören
TOBB ETÜ Business Administration, 2016
Compliance Specialist, ASELSAN
I entered TOBB ETÜ Department of Business Administration in 2011 and graduated in 2016 after completing a double major in Economics. For six years, I worked at TOBB in the fields of public policy and business development on projects such as TOGG, TÜRİB, and İYS. I am currently working as a Compliance Specialist at ASELSAN. The education I received at TOBB ETÜ made important contributions to my professional life. I had the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus program twice at TOBB ETÜ, both for education and internship purposes. Thanks to TOBB ETÜ’s intensive academic calendar, I was able to fit graduation from two departments, two Erasmus experiences, and one year of work experience into five years. The work experience I gained while I was still a student through the Cooperative Education Program enabled me to make a strong start in professional life after graduation.
