Notes:

1] Directive for Double Major Program Article 7.(2) A separate transcript is issued for the second major program. All courses of the second major program are included in the second major transcript.

2] Directive for Double Major Program Article 7.(3) The second major program covers all courses of the major program of the relevant department. However, the same coded courses taken by the student in the major program and equivalent courses can be substituted into the second major program. The equivalence between courses and the substitution of the equivalent courses are determined with the relevant decision of the Board of Trustees. The grades of the courses substituted by the student in this way are recorded with the same letter grades in the second major program transcript.

3] Directive for Double Major Program Article 9.(5) The total number of cooperative education terms that a student enrolled in a double major program must complete in order to graduate from the major and second major programs is three. Two of the cooperative education terms are completed in the major program and one in the second major program. However, after completing the three cooperative education terms in the major program with the success in the minor program, students who are admitted to the double major program that offers the minor program are exempted from the cooperative education requirement of the second major program. (Addition: 13.01.2014 dated, no: 01/2 Senate Decision)

4] Students in the major program of the Department of International Entrepreneurship have to complete only one of the OEG 200-300-400 courses as a student of the Department of Economics in the double major program of economics. These students are exempt from two other cooperative education courses and their grades are recorded as M in the transcripts.

5] There are 7 departmental electives in the Department of Economics. Students should take 7 elective courses from the elective courses given in the table above for the economics double major program.

6] A course which is taken in the major program and requested to be substituted as a faculty or university elective in the double major program must be at least a 3 credit course.

7] Students in the FEAS major program and Economics double major program are exempted from faculty and university elective courses in the Economics curriculum after completing their compulsory courses in their own major program. The grade of the faculty and university elective courses is displayed as M in the transcript of Department of Economics.

8] Students in one of major programs of the departments other than the FEAS and Economics double major program are exempted from university elective courses after completing their compulsory courses in their own major program. The grade of the university elective courses is displayed as M in the transcript of Department of Economics.

9] Students in one of major programs of the departments other than the FEAS and Economics double major program are exempted from faculty elective courses in Economics double major program as much as the number of courses taken in their own major program, in case of the student takes the elective courses from FEAS to meet the requirements of his/her own curriculum.

10] The equivalent course table is used to determine the Department of Economics courses’ equivalences of the courses taken by the students who have double major in the department of economics or students who have to take the courses from other departments as a requirement of their own department curriculum. The same equivalences cannot be used for elective courses taken by students other than their major programs. These courses cannot be substituted for compulsory courses in the Department of Economics.

In order to complete the minor program, 6 courses with 3 credits (18 credits in total) must be successfully completed. The rules for the program are:

1) The courses to be substituted to the minor program should not be taken in the major program of the student. Therefore, if the students take the courses in the above table (or equivalent courses to them) in their major programs, they cannot substitute these courses to the Economics minor program. In this case, students take 3rd or 4th grade courses with İKT code (compulsory or elective) instead of these courses and complete at least 18 credits required for the minor program. If these courses have prerequisite courses, they should be taken.

2 The elective course in the minor program must be a 3rd or 4th grade course with İKT code (compulsory or elective). If there is a prerequisite for this course, it should be taken.
