About the Department
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the founding departments of TOBB University of Economics and Technology (TOBB ETÜ), established in 2003. The department admitted its first 46 undergraduate students in 2004 and officially commenced its educational activities. Today, in addition to its undergraduate program, the department offers Master's and Ph.D. programs and has a student population of more than 450.
The Mechanical Engineering undergraduate program at TOBB ETÜ is accredited by MÜDEK and holds the EUR-ACE® Bachelor Label. MÜDEK is a full signatory of the Washington Accord, an international agreement that promotes the substantial equivalence of engineering degree programs accredited by its signatory organizations worldwide.
