TOBB ECONOMICS AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY LATERAL TRANSFER PRINCIPLES

Transfer Based on Academic Success Score

Academic achievement requirement: The student must have taken and passed 85 percent of all curriculum courses in terms of credits prior to the semester in which the transfer is requested at the university where the student is registered and have a General Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.00 out of 4 or 84.40 out of 100 for the completed courses.

Transfers based on Academic Achievement are only accepted at the beginning of the Fall semester.

  • Those who are registered to other higher education institutions in the country and meet the academic achievement requirement can apply for transfer to another program of the University.
  • The program applied for must be an equivalent diploma program.
  • In this category, transfers can be made in the first semester of the second year at the earliest and the first semester of the third year at the latest.

Transfer Based on Base Score

The program applied for may be the same or a different score type.

Achievement is not required.

The earliest preparatory class can transfer to the second term.

Documents Required for Application

Lateral transfer applications are made by filling out the form in the relevant link and attaching the documents specified below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Applications of students whose missing document(s) are detected in their applications will not be evaluated.

- ÖSYS Scorecard (document showing the score and achievement rank for the relevant exam) or result document related to exams whose equivalence is accepted

- ÖSYS Placement Document

- Application Fee Bank Receipt (A separate application fee is paid for each program applied for. The application fee is 200 TL. The statement must include the T.C. ID number and name as well as the name of the program applied for.) (Application fee is non-refundable)

- TOEFL document (students who have it will attach the document, and those who take TOEFL at TOBB ETU will obtain it from ÖİM Foreign Languages ​​Department. (Not required for transfer to Turkish programs))

Applications are accepted in the Fall semester according to academic achievement criteria. The remaining quota from the Fall semester can be announced in the Spring semester, and if there are still vacant quotas, applications can be accepted in the Summer semesters.

Applications are accepted in the Fall and Spring semesters according to the base score. Unused portions of the quotas are not transferred to other semesters.

Announcement of Results

The evaluation results of candidates applying for lateral transfer are announced on the University's website in the Student Affairs News/Announcements section.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

For students who conditionally transferred from the foreign language preparatory program to their departments in the spring semester of the 2019-2020 academic year and the fall semester of the 2020-2021 academic year, the TOEFL document will not be required for Double Major and Internal Transfer applications starting from the fall semester of the 2021-22 academic year.

Students who change their departments through internal transfer must also meet this requirement in order to graduate from the program they transferred to.
