- Faculty Elective Courses (FSD): Courses must be selected from the Faculty of Engineering, outside of the Biomedical Engineering curriculum, with at least 3 credits, according to the following rules:
- All 3 credit, 2xx, 3xx and 4xx Faculty of Engineering courses that are outside the Biomedical Engineering Curriculum
- 1xx coded courses (except for the courses listed below) are not counted as Faculty Electives.
- BIL 142 Computer Programming II
- MAK 101 Computer-Aided Technical Drawing
- MAK 112 Computer-Aided Technical Drawing
- Departmental Electives (BSD): These courses can be taken from BMM 4xx or BMM 5xx coded, 3 credit courses. Maximum two BMM 5XX coded course can be selected.
- University Elective Courses (USD): University Elective Courses (USD): A 3-credit course offered by any faculty or department except the Faculty of Engineering and the School of Foreign Languages can be taken as a university elective course.
- One of the following combinations can be chosen for elective courses:
4 BSD + 1 FSD + 1 USD, or
3 BSD + 2 FSD + 1 USD.
