TOBB ETÜ Department of Biomedical Engineering graduates successfully continue their careers in different countries, different sectors, and in the fields of academia, industry, and technology. The distribution of the fields in which our graduates operate can be seen in the chart below.

The employment timeline of our graduates is at an advanced level compared to both national and global standards. As shown in the chart below, 32% of our graduates started working within the first 3 months, 14% within the first 6 months, and 14% within the first 12 months. Together with the 24% group continuing their careers with postgraduate education, the rate of those employed within the first year after graduation stands at a high ratio of 84%, both globally and especially for our country.

Thanks to the Cooperative Education Program, which distinguishes TOBB ETÜ from other universities, Biomedical Engineering students receive job offers from the companies where they do their cooperative education while their education is still ongoing, and approximately 20% of the students start working at the company where they completed their cooperative education. The distribution of sectors where cooperative education took place between the years 2014-2025 in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, which offers the opportunity to do cooperative education in three separate terms, in different countries, and in different sectors, is shown in the chart below.

The sectoral distribution of the companies where cooperative education has been carried out since 2014 changes simultaneously with the changes the world is going through, and thanks to the flexibility of the Cooperative Education Program, our department adapts to all these changes. The change that the sectoral distribution has undergone over the years can be seen below as a flowchart.
