Double Major:
Courses |
ELE graduates of the Double Major Program must have the courses listed below, or their appropriate equivalents indicated in the adjacent column, included in their DMP transcript. |
The following courses may be counted toward the double major only if they are required within the student’s primary engineering major. Example: If a student enrolled in the ELE double major has BİL as their primary major, the course BİL 113 may be counted in place of BİL 141; in all other cases, BİL 141 is compulsory. |

(*) |
If a course in the DMP is also a compulsory course in the student’s primary major, the student must submit a petition to have the course recorded on the DMP transcript. If the student completed this course before being admitted to the DMP, they must submit the petition in the first semester following admission to have it recorded on the DMP transcript. If the course is taken after admission, the student must submit a petition to the department to have it recorded on the DMP transcript by the end of the add–drop period of the semester in which the course is taken. |
(**) |
The student must complete one Cooperative Education placement under the DMP program. |
(***) |
The student may enroll in the capstone design project courses of both the primary major and the DMP in the same semester and complete a single project. However, the project must comply with the requirements of both the primary major and the ELE department, and it must be evaluated separately by the two departments. |
(****) |
A 2xx-, 3xx-, or 4xx-level course taken in the student’s primary major and approved by the ELE advisor may be counted as a faculty elective in the DMP program upon submission of a petition. |
(*****) |
A university elective course taken in the student’s primary major and approved by the ELE advisor may be counted as a university elective in the DMP program upon submission of a petition. |
